Happy Easter Bomb!
My friend and fellow knitter Irukandji has joined YarnCore and gave me a knitted piece to put on a pole, but she took it to another level and covered it with Peeps! She also gave me some extra peeps so I made some i-cord and attached peeps to it. Then I attached glass ball ornaments from West Seattle Art Attack.
I decided that an Easter yarn bomb would also need a colored egg, so I got to work today and knitted this stuffed Easter egg up real quick.
Once the egg was finished, I decided not to wait for dark. It is a rare warm and beautiful day here in Seattle (according to Cliff Mass we’re having one of the worst springtimes EVER) and I figured that would be more fun. I’ve never done a daylight bomb before. I was a little nervous about it, but then I guessed that maybe everyone would be nice about it because they were in a great mood from all the sun. I was right, lots of friendly smiles and compliments. I love my West Seattle community!
I put it up in my neighborhood (Admiral District) close to where Irukandji lives so she can enjoy her work with me!
